About Uganda
Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Not only does Uganda serve as a surface for the world’s longest river, but it’s also home to half of the planet’s critically endangered mountain gorilla population. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a once in a lifetime experience where you can track mountain gorillas in unbelievably thick, luscious rainforest. Massive Lake Victoria is a grounding centerpiece to Uganda, offering a magical aura that seems to encompass the entire country.
When to Go: June-September offers the most comfortable temperatures and least rain. October-November can be wet, but less visitors means easier access to gorilla permits.
