With gorgeous beaches, the only tropical rainforest in the United States and a vivacious culinary and bar scene, Puerto Rico is often mistakenly overlooked, but this enchanted island deserves to be near the top of everyone’s travel list.

We started our Puerto Rican adventure with a busy few days in the heart of Old San Juan, understanding the history and culture of this storied U.S. territory. After roaming the cobblestone streets and taking in all the capital city has to offer, we ventured out to explore the endless activities offered around the island by land and by sea. From kayaking in a bioluminescent bay and snorkeling along pristine reefs, to hiking in the lush rainforest and visiting a remote island in a tiny prop plane, we took on as many adventures as we could fit into a one-week stay.
