Virgin Islands
James McIntosh, May 27 2019
At the end of our week in Puerto Rico, we weren’t ready to come home, so we extended our stay in the Caribbean with a weekend in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The U.S. Virgin Islands are famous for beautiful white-sand beaches, turquoise waters and lush, verdant hills.
We spent a majority of our time on the island of St. John, two-thirds of which is covered by Virgin Islands National Park — almost 3,000 hectares of tropical rainforest, shoreline and pristine reefs. After two-days exploring St. John and the National Park, we spent our final night on small and secluded Water Island.
