We broke in the first week of February celebrating just about everything.
On Saturday night we headed out with the volunteer crew to a club about 20 minutes away.
We ended the party before 1 a.m. so that we could catch a good 3 hour nap before getting up to watch the Seahawks kick some serious Denver booty.

At 4 a.m. James was peeling off my sheets and announcing that it was time for the game. I stumbled into the restaurant where James had his computer Superbowl station setup.
We watched the game with Jackson and by 9 a.m. people were strolling into the restaurant and we realized we were a definite eyesore with our canned Franks, chips and Old Monk Rum spread at that time in the morning.
GO HAWKS!!!!!!
We retreated to the tent, and too excited to sleep we stared at the ceiling for a few hours before starting the day.
Not only did the Hawks win, but it was also both of our mothers birthday today.
Happy Birthday Moms!!!!!!!!!!
Rest of week…
The J- Team (Jackson and & James) took down the monsoon tarp covering the back chalet in Mandala. I decided to help – but really that meant balancing on the wall to try and peer over and report back to the boys on their progress. I was in charge of holding the ladder and with that role I inhaled a whole lot of really old palm leaves or something. I had a massive allergy attack that lasted the next 24 hours. Sweet.

I’m happy to report that Benadryl is the cause of my first night sleep in Goa!!
We were supposed to have a day off, but crap hit the fan in the HR department around Mandala today so we stayed on and worked the day because they were 3 staff members short.

We went down to Ashwem beach in the morning and rented a SUP. It was low tide so the option of peacefully gliding down the river was out the window. Instead we thought we would take it to the coast. Bad idea really. It was impossible for me to get the board out there and I kept getting killed by waves. An hour later we said goodbye to the board and headed down the beach for a walk.
We discovered umbrellas and decided to grab a beer and enjoy doing absolutely nothing from the underside of the rainbow umbrella. Somehow about 3 hours passed and it became dark before we decided to jump in and head home.
Jackson and Lyndsey hadn’t yet been to the night market in Anjuna so we jumped on the opportunity to go one last time.
The market was great and entertaining of course. I managed to escape with only buying a 200 rupee neon yellow Marley tank and we were ready to settle into (or out of) our last week in Goa.
